Former Pakistan legendary pacer, Wasim Akram has
made it clear that he would not be associated with the IPL champions Kolkata
Knight Riders for the sixth edition of IPL citing personal reasons. Wasim Akram
was the bowling coach and mentor of the Gautam Gambhir-led side in the
lucrative league since three years and was also a part of the core team along
with coach Trevor Bayliss in coming up with strategies for the IPL champions
during his reign.
According to Kolkata Knight Riders, Wasim Akram
has expressed his desire to quit KKR during IPL 6 and has hinted at rejoining
the team later since there is a need to spend time with his family as his two
teenage sons Taimur and Akbar need his support at the moment.
